Kathak is one of the eight classical dance forms in Indian. the name itself derived from the sanskrit word- KATHA (Story) and Kathakar (the one who tells the story).Kathak gives emphasis on Poses, expressions,grace, hand, eye and body movements and footwork.The whole experience is very spritual and rewarding.

A professional Kathak dancer , choreographer and teacher of The Lucknow Gharana of Kathak. Trained / (Disciple of) under Shrimati Priya Sharma and Guru Malti Shyam. Prabhakar ( Prayag sangeet Samiti, Prayagraj)and M.A (Indra Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya,Khairagarh, Chhattisgarh)in kathak She has given numerous stage performances at State and National level Abhivyakti ( Anti Corona Task force), Chaturth Saraswati Sadhna Saman (Kalashray) ,Hindu National Inter College in presence of Honourable Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Mr. Pushkar Singh Dhami ,Rhythm Youth Festival (India International centre, New Delhi) and etc. Participated in India International Dance Championship (India's International Groovefest 2021)Winner at various state and National level Competitions. She has been the member of jury for many school competitions and Cultural programs. Director and owner of Jhankaar Kathak Nrityavatika.
